Startups and students work together!

Our startups again collaborated with HAAGA-HELIA students. This time Anne Arkima in her Budget and Responsibility Accounting course offered students to compile Excel sheets with budget, estimations of profitability, requirements for financing, and other estimations which were essential for the business idea in question. The templates were given to entrepreneurs to be used by them later.

StartUp School’s companies PuskaPromotion osk, John Cozzi Tmi, Liikuntapalvelu Teho, and Zultana each got a group of students to work on their cases. The results were surprising for everyone: Mrs. Arkima told that this year the presentations were of better quality than before, and she thinks that real cases improved motivation.

The students told that this experience helped them to understand entrepreneurship better. They were overall excited and happy that their work would be actually used. The students were glad that StartUp School entrepreneurs spent time with them and were easy to contact.

The entrepreneurs were also happy to receive high quality tools for developing their businesses further:

I was unsure what to expect when I signed up for cooperation with the Budget and Responsibility course. What I ended up with was a high quality, personalised budgeting tool fabricated by a professional, friendly and knowledgeable group of students that will greatly assist my company as it grows. Highly recommended for all entrepreneurs! – John Cozzi

We want to thank Anne Arkima and her students for successful cooperation!
